I was 18
The blues was all that I wanted to play
I even had a saying as follows:
“You do not play the blues,
You live the blues.”
What a precocious child
I was back then!!!
I did learn something though
This lovely Blues Chordal Melody
That I have never stopped using.
Any blues session where you cannot use
this sequence
is NOT a real blues session
Oh,
And I kept the pram
just in case
I ever became precocious again!
“The blue guitar And I are one.”
The Man With the Blue Guitar is a poem published in 1937 by Wallace Stevens
